Mr John Robertson MAAT

John prides himself in his team work approach, an ethic instilled in him during his  24 years in Her Majesty’s Forces and believes that a successful business is  built on that very same ethic, be it a Sole Trader or SME; team work is the  key. In this current financial climate John feels it is vitally important to a  business that its finances are proactively managed, allowing the business  owners to focus on growing their business.





John’s strong analytical approach to problem solving ensures that solutions sourced add value to Client’s business success, working closely with the Client to generate a business or directional plan to achieve that success.

 

His Project Management, Supply Chain and Material Management skills were attained during his Forces career, a secondary career, over the past 10 years, has  been carved out in the SME Business Administration Arena. 


John’s background has seen him provide his expertise in business administration, health and safety, cost control, forecasting and budgets, reviewing overall business processes and procedures to SME’s, involving both implementation and improvement, ensuring a positive impact on turnover and profit. John also has expertise in compliance of current HaSW legislation.  



A keen runner, he has completed The BUPA Great North Run, The BUPA Great South  Run (twice). the Cyprus Half-Marathon and The New Forest Half-Marathon, and in 2014 completed the London Marathon with his partner, Susan - raising funds for the Lymphoma Cancer Trust, shortly afterwards completed Tough Mudder in Winchester.

 

 

Mrs Susan Robertson  MAAT

Professional career

 

Susan has extensive experience in the expertise of business finance, being highly driven and motivated, having gained this through successfully running her own SME Accountancy and HR Business for the past 30 years after achieving her Business Management and Accountancy Diploma passing with Distinction, Susan has also achieved her Diploma in Employment Law (passing with Credit).



Susan has worked with individuals through to large corporate companies, being responsible for cash flow management and forecasting, cost control, production of financial management figures, final accounts and has expertise in tax return completion, computations and submissions. A strong analytical background with the ability to explain the complexities of the Tax System bringing it down to a more simplistic and easier to understand level.

 

Susan has worked closely with an International Training and Testing Company, producing the technical author document (65,000 words) for their Sage Accounts Training product. Susan has had over 25 years’ experience using  Sage, both payroll and accountancy, from the original DOS version  up to the latest release.  Susan also uses and has experience in Solar Accounting and Basic PAYE Tools.  Susan has currently finished a video training product for the Sage 2014 Accounts Software, which is available online.



Susan has proven skills in the Employment Tribunal Arena having successfully defended and brought Tribunal Cases, including preparation and presentation through to decision. Susan is no stranger to reviewing and re-writing Contract and Terms and Conditions of Employment, implementing HR procedures, carrying out employment personal development interviews, disciplinary and grievance procedures and meetings.

 

Susan is studying for her Teacher's Degree, and is now teaching AAT at a College in the local area, together with mentoring staff and Clients.

 

Recently Susan has become a keen runner, having completed the 5K and 10K Race For Life raising funds for Cancer Research (twice), and the 16K The BUPA Great South Run, together with The New Forest Half Marathon, also running the London Marathon in 2014 with her partner, John Robertson - raising funds for the Lymphoma Cancer Trust. Shortly afterwards completing Tough Mudder at Winchester.

 

 



Miss Lucy O'Hare

Professional career

 

Has worked in Customer Service for 8 years, has decided to change her career and has recently completed her Level 2 AAT, currently qualified to Level 3 and now studying for Level 4 AAT.

 

Lucy is ambitious and wants to learn everything to do with an Accountancy Practice, eventually taking on the mantel of Office Manager.

 

Lucy is a mother of a beautiful daughter, Annabelle.  She has a successful work/life balance.  She also is a keen runner.
